Real Simple Online

Real Simple CoverI love Real Simple magazine.

Love the balance of good recipes, fresh decorating ideas, natural health and beauty features, and life-organization tips.

And I love the simple, clean style of this publication — truly a rest for the eyes and soul.

I can also be a bit cheap when it comes to subscriptions. So I get my Real Simple fix in one of two ways:

  1. I subscribe to their free weekly enewsletter, which pops the latest features, tips and recipes into my Inbox. I love that I can select to receive articles only on subjects that interest me.
  2. I also visit their website to browse and see what I may have missed. Like Managing Editor Kristin van Ogtrop’s Life’s-Too-Short list — a list of the things she refuses to do anymore because, well, life is just too short. Like ironing cloth serviettes, and not caring (in her words) why Britney Spears is so screwed up, and not keeping friends who are clearly not nice to her!

I do buy the odd copy of Real Simple off the news shelf — usually in an airport or when I am languishing next to a pool on holiday!

If you’re interested, you can request a free trial issue on their website. Or if you live where Real Simple is not available (the magazine is US-based), try their enewsletter or online features.
